Aadhi Raat Records. Recorded after midnight in Kathmandu.

A record label with one rule. The tape only rolls between midnight and the first temple bell, in Kathmandu. Anything recorded in daylight, we cannot release.

Nothing on this label was recorded before midnight.

Aadhi raat means midnight. It is also the whole idea. We record in Kathmandu once the city goes quiet: the dogs settle, the Ring Road empties, and the valley starts to sound like itself. A take has to start after 00:00 or it is not ours. The session ends at the first temple bell. What you hear on every release is the night, kept.

Every take is filed under the minute the tape rolled.

Example catalogue. These four sleeves show how a release sits on the page. Replace them with real releases.
