Recorded after आधी रात in Kathmandu

A record label in the valley. We put out only what was recorded after 00:00 Nepal time, in the hours before the city wakes. This page is one of those nights, from eleven to first light.

00:00 NPT · 18:15 UTC

At midnight the city goes quiet.

The shutters are down in Asan, the last microbus is in, the generators have stopped. What gets recorded now was not planned at a desk in the afternoon. That is the sound we put out, and nothing from before the hour.

The take keeps the clock.

A release qualifies on one thing: the time the take started, Nepal time. Not the mix, not the master, not the upload. If the first note landed after midnight and before first light, it is ours to consider.

Sunrise today --:-- NPT

The window closes at sunrise.

Anything that starts after first light waits for the next night. The hour on this page is real: the readouts below follow Kathmandu's clock, and the label opens the moment it crosses midnight.

Example. No release exists yet.

Every sleeve prints the clock.

There is no cover art. The front of each release carries the time its take started, Nepal time, in the same type as this page. The hour is the picture, and the record is the proof that someone was awake for it.

The catalogue opens with the first take that qualifies. Until then the sleeve above is a study, so nobody reads it as a release.

Step 1 of 3

When did the take start?

Nepal time, UTC+5:45. The time the first note landed, not the time you bounced it.
