Counted at low water on 4 Oct 2026, starting at 14:20. The west bank was firm enough to walk the whole bend.
A kingfisher crossed twice between the alder and the bend. Seven banded demoiselles held over the slack. Water vole prints sat in the silt under the footbridge. Yellow flag was still in flower on the inside bend.
